Our Vision
To make Makan Work the leading co-working platform in Aleppo, where creativity meets professionalism.
Our Mission
To create an integrated and inspiring work environment that motivates youth, entrepreneurs, and small and emerging projects (including freelancers) to develop their work.
We also strive to provide high-quality professional services at reasonable prices, within an elegant and stimulating atmosphere that effectively contributes to building the future of a new Syria.
The Social and Developmental Dimension of the Project
Empowering Youth and Creativity
Creating a stimulating environment for innovation, continuous learning, and the exchange of knowledge and experience among members.
Engineering and Educational Support
Providing free support and consultations from the founder and his team to university students, engineers, and emerging projects — as part of their commitment to social responsibility.
A Forward-Looking Vision for Expansion
Looking toward the future by creating similar initiatives targeting high-school and university students to build a new educational environment that fosters values of cooperation and creativity from an early age.
Transferring Global Expertise to Syria
Benefiting from the experience of the founder and his team abroad to present a modern and advanced model of co-working spaces that aligns with international standards in our homeland.
Promoting a Culture of Cooperation and Co-Working
Breaking the barrier of isolation among entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners by building an interactive, professional, and collaborative community.
Addressing the Impact of War and Weak Education
Contributing to rehabilitating the generation affected by weak formal education by creating an alternative and effective informal learning space.
I am architect Mazen Mounir Khoudeir,
I began my professional career in the field of architecture and interior design in 1994, managing my own engineering office in Aleppo — a firm that gained a solid reputation in the city during the years before the war.
When the war broke out, I moved to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), where I founded an architectural engineering company. During this period, I gained new, practical experience — especially in the field of collaborative engineering work within joint projects.
I have now returned to Aleppo in 2025, carrying a new vision for the future of our beloved city.
The Makan Work project is not merely a coworking space, but rather a strategic initiative aimed at contributing to the reconstruction of Aleppo and Syria — built upon modern and sustainable foundations.
We aspire for this center to become an incubator for creative ideas and an active platform for interaction between:
- Students
- Freelancers and entrepreneurs of small and emerging businesses
- Engineers, consultants, and business professionals
Our deeper goal is to help shape a new, educated, and skilled generation capable of rebuilding the nation — with forward-thinking minds, a collaborative spirit, and effective participation among all segments of Syrian society.
Wishing success and prosperity to all.
Engineer Mazen Mounir Khoudeir
